Royal Exchange Theatre
Manchester City Centre, Greater Manchester

 

Information: Following water ingress via a failed valley gutter, sections of the ornate plaster cornice and its many enrichments were water damaged. Our services were needed in order to provide a comprehensive report and quotation for urgent repairs. Structural Engineers, Thomason’s, along with The Royal Exchange Theatre Management Team awarded Oaks Construction with this prestigious contract.

Bretby Hall
Bretby, Derbyshire

 

Bretby Hall is a grade 2 Star listed building set in its own
park land close to the village of Bretby. The former home of Lord Carnarvon who
famously discovered the tomb of Tutankhamen with Howard Carter in 1922. Bretby
hall had been used as a hospital until falling derelict in the 1970’s

 

Aamir Saleem project managed the internal restoration, converting into luxury
apartments. The external works involved a full roof restoration including the
replacement of all sand cast lead, stone repairs to all facades and restoration of all
existing windows. Working with Architects Brownhill Hayward Brown of Lichfield,
English Heritage and the Conservation officer the Abbey was restored to its former
glory.

High Peak Farm & Barn
High Peak, Derbyshire
 

Oaks Construction Management was instructed to carry out a complete refurbishment and restoration on this early 19th century barn and house which was originally built by The Quakers C. 1820. Oaks Construction, along with the client collaborated with one of London’s Top Architects Guy Hollaway to design the sympathetic but modern residence. There were many complex aspects to the design of the house and barn, both properties were connected by a state of the art, contemporary glazed link and feature bridge.

                  8. Installation of bespoke kitchen and 5 superior bathrooms all to unique design.
                  9. Complete security and whole house audio-visual system which included CCTV
                      and integrated surround sound.

Stoneleigh Abbey
Stoneleigh, Warwickshire

 

Stoneleigh Abbey a Grade 1 listed building occupies a prominent position on the banks of the river Avon, The national agricultural centre is also situated in the grounds.

 

Oaks project managed the internal restoration converting the top floors into
luxury apartments and the ground floor into a public viewing area. The external
restoration included full lead roof replacement, stone repairs to all facades, restoration of
the orangery, gate house, attached out buildings and home farm. Working with Historical
House Rescue and English Heritage the Abbey was restored to its former glory.​
